How we consider website carbon footprints.
It might be surprising to hear but websites have a carbon footprint. The internet consumes a lot of electricity and resources.
When we build a website, we undertake an independent test through a website carbon calculator. This reviews data transfer over the wire, energy intensity of web data, energy source used by the data centre, and carbon intensity of electricity to load the website, allowing us to apply optimisation techniques to not only deliver a more sustainable website, but also a website that loads and performs faster.
