Doddle Overview

Doddle came to Creative Brand Design looking for a new, information-based website to replace their old website, which was set up on the HubSpot platform. They wanted to make full use of the advantages offered by WordPress such as the Gutenberg Block Editor, and needed a modern, fresh design.

Bold Design & Features


Doddle’s branding & marketing material is instantly recognised in the industry thanks to their bold colours & imagery. We wanted to make use of that throughout the site, keeping different section in line with the different branding aspects, and using brand elements to create interactive experiences throughout.

Using technologies such as JavaScript animation & scroll-linked libraries, we were able to create some really clean & unique effects that tied in perfectly to the Doddle brand and made the web pages stand out.

No Creative Block


It was very important to Doddle that they had full flexibility to edit pages & the content that appeared on those pages. Rather than set up Page Templates as is normal for a basic website, we delved into the power of the new Gutenberg editor to create a more flexible, HubSpot-like experience for the Doddle team.

Each & every aspect of the site’s pages was set up as a custom Gutenberg Block with unique content fields, allowing the team to mix & match blocks on every page and add content every time, without any constraints on the overall page layout. This provided the perfect platform for them to amend & create new pages, without having to access a single line of code.

HubSpot Integration


A crucial part of the new Doddle website was that the existing HubSpot systems, such as newsletter subscriptions & contact form integration, could continue to function on the WordPress backend.

We set up the contact form to allow it to push through submissions to HubSpot, and integrated other HubSpot features such as cookie opt-ins, dynamic PDF downloads & newsletter sign-up forms, to provide a seamless transition from the old site to the new.

The Results

Doddle’s new website is much more engaging & interactive than the previous site, making full use of the company branding & material to provide an experience for potential clients to remember. They are very pleased with it!

The Gutenberg block editor & HubSpot integration systems allow the Doddle team to easily make updates & view crucial site data without having to deal with complex code or complicated analytics.
